Linvio Portal is an add-on for Salesforce that turns your CRM platform into a portal and website content management system (CMS) and significantly reduces the effort required to integrate Salesforce with your portal and web properties.
Built on top of the Force.com Platform, Linvio Portal provides native components for managing portal user logins as well as publishing business data, customer information and even web page content from salesforce to the web. In addition, Linvio Portal includes starter sites (written in PHP, Asp.Net and Visualforce) that can be launched quickly and customized to suit your marketing and customer relationship needs.
Publishing Content
Using Salesforce as your content management system has several serious advantages:
- If you aleady use Salesforce, much of your business data already resides in Salesforce objects and is tied so business processes supporting customer support, marketing, sales and operations. With Linvio Portal you can selectively share that information with customers and partners, and publish calendar events, documents, customer and parter information, case histories, product catalogs, inventory and much more, in real time.
- If you target multiple websites with some of the same content - Linvio Portal can be used to create and manage your html content, search keywords, metatags and more, in just one place, while you information appears in many places. And when you make a change to the content, all of your web properties update instantly!
- Centralizing your data and managing it in Salesforce also allows you to take advantage of a world class CRM platform with tools for email marketing, campaign management, Google Adwords tracking, and workflow automation - to either drive dynamic changes to your web content, or react to it.
Managing Portal Accounts
In addition to being able to publish content to a public website with Linvio Portal, you can also publish your business information to one or more password protected portals (e.g. a customer portal and a partner portal). And to make things even easier, the system also provides features for managing login credentials - including creating logins, resetting passwords, and suspending account access from inside your Salesforce account.
Salesforce click-to-configure workflow can be used to drive account creation, while built-in reporting tools can tell you how many of your customers or partners are logging in.
E-Commerce Capabilities
Linvio Portal is also compatible with Linvio's PaymentConnect Salesforce add-on making it very easy to deploy a Salesforce-integrated shopping cart solution. Products in your Salesforce account can be displayed in your public online catalog, while purchase transactions flow back to Salesforce where they can trigger business workflow rules and drive reports and dashboards.

Linvio Portal has no per-user account login fees, so you can build a portal and invite all your friends, without worrying about licensing fees.

- Custom objects, fields, and code for content and login management in Salesforce.
- Sample portal code that can be extended or customized to meet your needs, or used as a reference site for creating your own. (Written in PHP, Asp.Net and Visualforce)
Prerequisites:
- Salesforce Enterprise Edition or higher with Force.com API access
- An Asp.Net, or PHP web server with PHP 5.2.1 or higher of Salesforce Sites (Visualforce) to host the sample portal sites.
- Some PHP, Asp.Net or Visualforce programming experience.
