Linvio Offers Portal and Content Management Solution for Salesforce Users.
ENCINITAS, Ca., September 9, 2008 - In response to a myriad of customer requests for an affordable and extensible portal membership and content management solution for Salesforce, Linvio announced today that it is releasing a new add-on for Salesforce called Linvio Portal. The add-on is offered as a solution for Salesforce customers who would prefer not to develop a portal solution from scratch, but also need the ability to customize and integrate content delivery and portal access features as their business needs evolve. Linvio Portal extends Salesforce with features that allow the creation and management of portal user logins, tracking of user activity such as logins and document downloads, and the creation and tagging of content for publication to the portal or a public website.

The application also comes with a fully functional sample portal website that can be re-skinned and used out-of-the-box, or extended and customized by the user. The sample site (written in PHP) talks to Salesforce using the standard Force.com API and webservices and allows users to create a site that uses Salesforce as the backend database.
