CronKit 1.0 Released
San Diego, CA - Logix Business Integration, a systems integration and software consulting firm, today announced the release of a free solution for Salesforce users that allows native scheduling and management of batch jobs. The application, CronKit, includes tools that enable salesforce.com administrators to schedule tasks such as collection of monthly business metrics, removal of out of date records and other recurring activities without having to use an external application.
"Salesforce administrators typically have to create and schedule a batch job that runs on another server and makes calls to salesforce.com using the Force.com API. CronKit runs inside the Salesforce SAAS system and allows server side Apex code to be called every hour, 12 hours, week, month, and so on."
CronKit includes custom batch objects for tracking execution statistics, s-controls for automation of management steps, and sample Apex code and documentation to get users started.
